Hallmark House is revolutionizing Alzheimer’s and memory care in the Louisville, Kentucky area. Combining the Vigil® Dementia Monitoring System, The Best Friends Care Approach, and a facility custom-designed to minimize resident confusion and irritation. Hallmark House provides unprecedented peace of mind for both residents and the loved ones who place them here.
Superior safety through advanced technology
For people with Alzheimer’s and their families, nothing is more important than safety. Yet, it cannot be at the expense of the resident’s privacy and independence. That’s why Hallmark House has installed the Vigil Dementia System in addition to traditional call buttons. Using passive sensors, this system continuously gathers data about each resident in their rooms, common areas, in lounge and activity areas, even while outside. This smart technology identifies patterns of behavior for individuals and, when our residents change this behavior in some way, a silent page automatically alerts a caregiver. So no matter where they are or what they’re doing, our residents are safely monitored without compromising their independence or dignity.
Custom-designed to the needs of Alzheimer’s residents
Unlike assisted living facilities that include areas for memory care residents, the entire Hallmark House facility is custom-designed for Alzheimer’s residents. Our designers toured and studied memory care facilities throughout the country to achieve a design with the perfect balance of safety, comfort and an active lifestyle. Of particular importance, the layout of the facility is designed with no “dead spaces.” This helps minimize opportunities of residents getting lost or not finding their rooms. The design also incorporates open spaces, natural light and specially selected color schemes to help minimize irritation and anxiety. Even the dining room will feature an open kitchen so that the aroma of cooking food helps tease appetites and create a home-like atmosphere.
